Historic Lane County Community

Serving Coburg, Oregon Families With Small-Town Care

Coburg is the kind of town where neighbors know each other, the antique shops still get steady traffic, and Main Street still feels like Main Street. We see Coburg patients regularly at our Springfield office, just 15 minutes south down I-5. Many of them tell us the same thing: they were looking for a dentist who treats them the way Coburg treats its own residents, with patience, familiarity, and no rush. Dr. Matthew Collins built this practice around exactly that. Whether you live in the historic district near Pearl and Willamette, out toward the Coburg Hills, or on the farmland surrounding town, we welcome you with the same hospitality you'd expect at home.

What Coburg Patients Tell Us

Most of our Coburg patients had a dentist closer to home before they came to us. These are the three reasons we hear most often for making the switch.

"I wanted someone who'd take the time to actually look."

No Rushed Appointments

Many practices schedule on tight 20 to 30 minute slots. Dr. Collins keeps a slower pace, the same one Coburg residents are used to. Visits move at the speed your situation actually needs.

"I wanted to be a name, not a chart number."

Genuine Familiarity

We don't run a high-volume practice. That means our team gets to know you, your history, and what you actually want from your dental care. Coburg patients tell us this is what they were missing.

"I wanted a real local dentist, not a chain."

Independent & Local

Dr. Collins owns this practice. He lives in the Eugene-Springfield area, and he's accountable to his patients personally. That kind of independence is increasingly rare and it shows in how each visit feels.

A Few Things We Love About the Town

Coburg isn't just a name on a list of cities we serve. Here's what we know and respect about the community our patients call home.

The Historic District
Coburg's listing on the National Register of Historic Places, with over 187 sites and structures, makes the town one of the best-preserved 19th-century communities in Oregon. The walking tour from City Hall is worth doing twice.
The Antique District
Three blocks of antique shops along Willamette Street, including the Coburg Antique Malls and The Old Shed. Plenty of our Coburg patients are dealers, collectors, or just regulars at the annual Antique Fair.
Coburg Hills & Ridge
The 2,300-foot Coburg Hills frame the town to the east. The 1,244-acre Coburg Ridge Preserve is home to more than 25 endangered wildlife species. A reminder that this is genuine country, not a suburb dressed up.
Armitage Park & the McKenzie
Armitage County Park, on the banks of the McKenzie River, is one endpoint of the Willamette Valley Scenic Bikeway. A favorite weekend spot for our patients who like to ride or just sit by the river.
Coburg's Community Calendar
From the Golden Years Festival to the Coburg Car Classic, the Quilt Show & Tea, and the Christmas Light Parade, the town's calendar runs full year-round. The kind of community that still throws a parade is the kind we feel lucky to serve.
