The Office on Centennial Boulevard

Centennial is one of those streets that holds a town together. Head west and it carries you toward the river and Autzen. Head east and it runs you out past McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center. We are on the middle stretch, in Suite #3, near the Centennial Center shops and the elementary school that shares the street name.

The practice is named for the Willamette and the McKenzie, and both are close enough to matter. Island Park is a short run south, where half of Springfield ends up every Fourth of July. Downtown and the Main Street murals are a couple of minutes further on. The Rosa Parks Bike Corridor runs up Pioneer Parkway a block away, which is how a fair number of our patients actually get here.

Parking is on site and the drive from most of Springfield is under ten minutes. If you are coming from Thurston or the Mohawk Valley, Centennial takes you door to door without touching the freeway.

  • Island Park and the Willamette, a few minutes south
  • Main Street, the Simpsons mural, and the Emerald Art Center
  • McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center, straight east on Centennial
  • The Shoppes at Gateway, north side, right off I-5
Around Town

Where Our Springfield Patients Live

Springfield is not one neighborhood. It is a handful of them with different ages of housing, different school runs, and different reasons people put off the dentist.

Downtown and Main Street

Old buildings, antique shops, the art walk, and a mural of a cartoon family that everybody pretends not to be proud of. Downtown patients tend to walk or bike in, which makes a lunch hour appointment realistic.

Washburne Historic District

The Victorian blocks near downtown. Beautiful houses, older plumbing, and a lot of longtime Springfield families who have been seeing the same dentist for decades and are now looking for a new one.

Kelly Butte and West Springfield

West of Pioneer Parkway and south of Centennial, close to Island Park and the river. This is our closest neighborhood, and plenty of these patients are here in under five minutes.

Gateway

Hotels, the Shoppes, and the hospital corridor just off I-5. Gateway families are used to combining trips, so a cleaning before a Target run is a normal Tuesday.

Mohawk and Midtown

The Mohawk Boulevard corridor and the streets around it. Centennial runs right into it, so getting here from Mohawk takes one turn and no freeway.

Thurston and the East End

Out past the Thurston Hills, closer to the McKenzie than to I-5. It has its own Thurston dental page because it really does feel like its own town.

Springfield Roots

A Springfield Practice, Not a Chain With a Springfield Address

There is one office and one dentist. Nobody is rotating through from a corporate schedule.

One Dentist, Every Visit

Dr. Matthew Collins, DDS, graduated from UNLV in 2019 and completed the AAID MaxiCourse in implant dentistry. He is the one who does your exam. Meet the team.

In the Community

We are Springfield Chamber members and belong to the American Dental Association, the Oregon Dental Association, and the Coastal Cascade Dental Association.

Named for This Place

Two Rivers is the Willamette and the McKenzie. They meet just north of town, and everything about how Springfield is laid out follows from that.

What We Do Here

Dental Care for Springfield Families

Everything below happens at the Centennial Boulevard office. No referrals across town for routine work, no second location.

Family Dentistry

Exams, cleanings, x-rays, and preventive care for everyone in the house, from the six month checkup habit to senior care.

Kids Dentistry

First visits, sealants, fluoride, and cleanings sized for short attention spans. Popular with the Centennial and Hamlin crowd.

Emergency Dentist

Toothaches, broken teeth, and same-day appointments. Call early and we will work you into the day.

Dental Implants

Single tooth implants, implant crowns, and full arch work, planned and placed in house rather than handed off.

Restorative Dentistry

Fillings, crowns, bridges, and dentures. The work that gets a damaged tooth back to doing its job.

Cosmetic Dentistry

Veneers, bonding, contouring, and smile makeovers, planned around your face rather than a catalog.

Teeth Whitening

Professional whitening that goes further than the strips, with an honest read on what your teeth will actually do.

All Dental Services

The full list, silo by silo, if you want to see everything in one place.

Getting Here

Finding Suite #3

From downtown, take Pioneer Parkway north and turn onto Centennial. From Gateway or anywhere off I-5, come south and pick up Centennial heading west. From the east end, Centennial runs the whole way in from the Mohawk side.

Springfield is small enough that this is a short trip from almost anywhere in it. If you are coming from further out, the service areas page lays out the drive from each town, and Eugene patients are usually here faster than they expect once they cross I-5.

Springfield Questions

Where exactly is your Springfield office?

1717 Centennial Blvd, Suite #3, Springfield, OR 97477. We sit on the stretch of Centennial between Pioneer Parkway and Mohawk Boulevard. If you know Centennial Elementary or the Centennial Center shops, you already know the block.

Are you taking new patients from Springfield?

Yes. New patients are welcome, and a first visit is usually an exam, x-rays, and a conversation about what you want out of your teeth over the next few years. Call 541-287-7874 or use the form on this page.

Can you see my whole family in one trip?

That is the point of a family practice. Parents and kids can book back to back, so one stop covers the household. Springfield parents juggling Hamlin and Springfield High schedules tend to like the Tuesday and Wednesday morning slots.

What if I chip a tooth on a weekend?

We are closed Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, so call 541-287-7874 first thing Tuesday and we will work to get you in that day. If it is a true medical emergency, McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is a couple of miles east on Centennial.

Do you offer payment plans?

Yes. Payment plans are available, and we will lay out what something costs before we start rather than after. Ask at the front desk or bring it up during your exam.
